NAOMI
SAMPLE AND THE GO GO GHOSTS
We
built this Gameboy of Rock´n´Roll... Back in 2001 and
after 13 years of building songs just for himself or for Commodore 64
diskmagazines Naomi Sample decided to present his works on the
internet. One year later he explored www.micromusic.net and came
across a community which told him that there is still a true interest
in this chiptunish kind of music. From 2003 on Naomi Sample released
some little tracks that were made with Commodore 64 and
old-school-synthesizers on on various sites on the net. In 2004 Naomi
Sample got invited to a show in Brussels / Belgium. He was too afraid
to make it on his own so he asked Punkrocker Nolde Royal and
Trash-Comedian Timmo to team up with him. They called themselves
NAOMI SAMPLE & THE GO GO GHOSTS. After this show they knew:
N.S.A.T.G.G.G. should play some more gigs. The shows got more and
more punky and action-loaded. Furthermore the songs got fuller and
louder. Today they are a real funny live band with a lot of punk
attitude. In the end of 2005 they joined forces with the German label
MUSIKFLADEN (www.musikfladen.de) which is the
right place for their
stuff. On "Schubfladen #1" (a 4-track-7''-vinyl-sampler) you can hear
their first single NACKEN 1,99 which deals with speaking to animals
and eating their meat. Also you can get the second release (a split-7-inch-vinyl
with DIE MODERNE WELT), including their song "HEY DJ". NAOMI SAMPLE
& THE GO GO GHOSTS these
unstopable punk-pop-bastards are waiting for being booked by you. Or
maybe they will see you dancing on a show next to you...
